A month away from tipoff, preseason honors are going out in Summit League basketball.

North Dakota State men's basketball were tabbed to finish second in the standings, with Rocky Kreuser and Sam Griesel each making the all-conference first team. Tyree Eady was picked to the second team. Meanwhile, North Dakota came in seventh in the preseason poll, with Paul Sather's group slated to have five returners this season.

On the women's side, the Bison were picked to finish third behind South Dakota and South Dakota State. Heaven Hamling was the lone NDSU player on an all-conference team, named to the second team. UND is slated to finish ninth in Mallory Bernhard's first season as permanent head coach of the Fighting Hawks.

UND football has officially made plans for a game that's been in the makings for a while. The Fighting Hawks will play at the University of Minnesota in 2028 and 2030. They're expected to receive $500,000 for the first game and $525,000 for the second game. The Fighting Hawks and Gophers have never played in the division one era and last played each other in 1974.
