Women's basketball: Cobbers fall to Carleton on the road

Emily Beseman had 17 points, four rebounds and four steals to pace the Cobbers.

NORTHFIELD, Minn. — Carleton tallied a 54-45 victory over Concordia on Wednesday in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball at West Gym.

Emily Beseman had 17 points, four rebounds and four steals to pace the Cobbers. Mary Sem recorded 13 points, five boards and two blocks. As a team, Concordia shot 18 of 59 (30.5%) from the field.

Aiana Whitfield scored 23 points and had five steals to lead Carleton (2-1, 1-0 MIAC).

The Cobbers (1-2, 1-1 MIAC) are scheduled to play Macalester at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at home.
