Women's golf: Dragons place seventh at Augustana invite

MSU Moorhead closes its spring season at the NSIC Championships on April 28-30.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Minnesota State Moorhead held on to seventh place after the final day of the Augustana Spring Invitational on Saturday at Bakker Crossing Golf Course.

The Dragons were seventh after shooting a 370 in Friday's first round and they shot 377 on Saturday to best eighth-place Minnesota Crookston by eight shots.

Augustana won the invite shooting 620. Concordia-St. Paul was second at 672 and Southwest Minnesota State place third with 673.

MSUM's Madison Braun shot 87 on Saturday at tied for 19th with a two-round total of 171. The Dragons' Callie Krause shot 180 to tie for 31st.

Augustana Lauren Tims finished at 152 to win the invite by three shots over teammate Shannon McCormick.
