BEMIDJI — Bemidji State outshot Minnesota State Moorhead by a wide margin but it took a goal in the 59th minute for the Beavers to defeat the Dragons 2-1 on Friday at Chet Anderson Stadium.
Bemidji State's Sara Wendt scored the go-ahead goal. The Dragons were outshot 28-2 and goalkeepers Simone Lewald and Kayleigh Sedlacek combined to make nine saves. Sedlacek scored the Dragons' lone goal on a free kick near midfield in the 22nd minute.
The Dragons play host to Minot State at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 17.
