MOORHEAD — Concordia dominated the game throughout but didn't get on the board right away, scoring all of its goals in the second half of a 6-0 rout of Minnesota Morris on Friday and the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.
The Cobbers had a 27-5 advantage in shots and a 17-1 margin in shots on goal. Cougars goalkeeper Bernadette Cienik was forced to make six saves in the first half and five more after halftime.
Concordia's Sophia Roberts put five shots on goal and scored twice. Lauren Tschider and Megan Barnick both scored goals and had two assists. Samantha Holmberg and Samantha Dalsin scored goals and Amber Weiybe had an assist.
The Cobbers improved to 2-3 and go for a third-straight win at home against Nebraska Wesleyan at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12.
