Women's swimming: Cobbers place eighth at MIAC Championships

Concordia's Hailey Jaeger set a new program record time of 54.64 in the 100-yard freestyle prelims on Saturday

MINNEAPOLIS — The Concordia women's swimming and diving team registered an eighth-place finish on Saturday in the final day of competition of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.

The Cobbers finished with 125 team points. St. Catherine won the conference title with 809 points. Gustavus was second with 714 and St. Olaf rounded out the top three with 504.

Concordia's Hailey Jaeger set a new program record time of 54.64 in the 100-yard freestyle prelims on Saturday. She notched a time of 54.66 in the finals to claim 14th place.

The Cobbers' 400 freestyle relay squad of Kaitlin Cramer, Jessica Bray, Brienna Timm and Jaeger placed seventh with a time of 3:46.91.
