Concordia baseball falls to Chicago

CAROL STREAM, Ill. — The Concordia-Chicago baseball team defeated Concordia College 4-3 on Saturday at Lee Pfund Stadium.

Jose Mercado and Brayden Benavides each scored a run in the top of the first inning to lead Concordia-Chicago.

Concordia-Moorhead's Sean McGuire reached on a fielder's choice in the second inning for an RBI. Alec Sames scored a run and had two hits. Austin Ver Steeg posted eight strikeouts and three walks.

The Cobbers (6-8) and Augsburg University (3-7) will play in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 30.
