MOORHEAD — The Concordia women's soccer team blanked Buena Vista 7-0 Saturday afternoon at Jake Christiansen AC to move to 6-0 on the season before beginning conference play.
The Cobbers scored five of seven goals in the first half, including a pair of goals within 30 seconds of each other. Karsen Granning scored two goals and assisted on two others to lead Concordia. Kalli Baarstad, Sara Liimatta, Klara Beinhora, Samantha Holmberg and Kay Franzese all recorded a goal for the Cobbers. Concordia out shot Buena Vista (1-6) 44-0.
The Cobbers begin Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play against Saint Benedict at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
