Concordia men's hockey gets tie against St. Olaf

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Brian Kang scored the tying goal in the second period as Concordia College tied St. Olaf 1-1 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey play Saturday.

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Brian Kang scored the tying goal in the second period as Concordia College tied St. Olaf 1-1 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey play Saturday.

Nick Thielen and Mark Johnson assisted on the goal by Kang while Jacob Vatnsdal made 32 saves for the Spuds (1-5-2), including five in overtime.

Britton Smith scored in the first period for St. Olaf (3-2-3).

FIRST PERIOD: 1, SO, Smith (Tranvik), 2:16.

SECOND PERIOD: 2, CC, Kang (Thielen, Johnson), 15:24.
