SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Henry Contreras scored the winning run on a wild pitch as the Sioux Falls Pheasants defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 6-5 in 12 innings in American Association baseball Thursday.
With the game tied 5-5, F-M reliever Adam Tollefson walked Contreras to open the bottom of the 12th. Tollefson got the next two batters out, but Reggie Abercrombie's single advanced Contreras to third. Following a walk to load the bases, Contreras scored on a wild pitch for the win.
Abercrombie - a former major league outfielder - finished with two hits and two stolen bases for Sioux Falls.
Carlo Cota and Jonathan Wyatt homered for the RedHawks.
