One to write home about

The par-5 first hole gives golfers a good chance at a good start. The key is to place the second shot beyond the corner of the dogleg, which gives you a very short pitch to the green and a prime birdie chance.
Par is always a good score
The 373-yard fourth hole is a dogleg right that is protected by water. It's possible to cut the corner, but you risk hitting into the ever-present northwest North Dakota wind and winding up in the drink.
Trick or treat
The 155-yard par-3 third hole has a large elm tree that acts as a center trying to block a basketball jump shot. The key is to block it out of your mind.
Overview
You get a bonus before you start with a nice clubhouse that overlooks virtually the entire couse. The restaurant is just as popular as the course. Although winter kill damaged two greens, the course is well-maintained and a source of pride in the community.
