Coach: Mike Anderson (21st season)
Who's gone: Katherine Finseth.
Key returners: Marissa John (captain), So.; Emma Friend, So.; Alexis Rude, eighth grade.
Coach's comments: "Marissa John has been the top Rebel girls runner and has been competitive in most major meets the past couple years. In addition, the Rebels have added junior Isabella Tollefson, from the girls track distance program, to help replace the loss of graduated senior Katherine Finseth. Over the past couple seasons, the Rebel girls have lost some dedicated and hard-working girls. They are difficult to replace being that cross country is a challenging sport. The Rebels are young, with no juniors or seniors in the program. With few runners returning to the program, a period of rebuilding will be supplied by more inexperienced runners to secure the depth needed to compete with the best programs in the area."

Coach's Comments: "With a core group of runners returning, five of last season's top seven, including the likes of state qualifier Taylor Melton, the girls are excited about the next eight to 10 weeks together. Similar to last season, the girls' preparatory efforts this summer were fantastic and the expected carryover to in-season training and racing has everyone involved eagerly anticipating what's to come. Whatever the outcome when the season ends, this edition of the Spuds girls team is special and I'm going to enjoy time spent with them."

Coach's comments: "Last season we graduated four girls that have become synonymous with Davies running. But the influence they had on our program will be continued on by another strong group of returners. We have several girls ready to step in and lead our team on and off the course. Our captains have worked diligently over the summer building our team up and preparing our girls for the season. We have athletes that won't settle for anything less than their best, and if we hold true to this than we will earn an opportunity to race for a state title in October. Each and every girl on this team will look to find her purpose, and that is what ultimately creates the bond we share out loud before each race."
