FARGO-It was a clean sweep for the Fargo Davies girls golf team at the North Dakota East Region golf meet on Monday at Rose Creek Golf Course.
The Eagles won the team championship for the first time since 2013 and their senior standout Jennifer Marsh captured medalist honors for the second year in a row.
Davies won the meet shooting a 354, nine strokes better than runner-up West Fargo Sheyenne.
"I'm excited that we showed up at this meet," Fargo Davies head coach Heather Yarber said. "It was nice to win and have it be a team effort. This year, it has been us, Sheyenne, and Grand Forks Red River that have rotated out (winning tournaments). On any given day it is anybody's meet. It just happened to be our day (Monday)."
Marsh led the way for the Eagles, shooting a 5-over 76. Davies also received sub-100 scores from sophomore Anna Davison (87) and senior Anna Ingersoll (91).

"It gives us more confidence heading into state than what we had last year and it is always exciting to end the East Region season with a team win," Marsh said.
The Class A state meet is set for Oct. 5-6 at Rose Creek.
Marsh bogeyed four of her first nine holes Monday, but shot 1-over par on the back nine to improve her round.
"It's definitely not what I wanted to shoot," Marsh said. "I had hoped to shoot better, but I hung in there and kept at it. It wasn't a great day, but that happens. My tee shots got better. They were not great the whole round, but they did improve."
Fargo North senior Abby Sklebar was tied with Marsh at the turn with a 4-over 40. She shot par on the final four holes to maintain second place-her best finish at East Region meet.
"I played pretty well," said Sklebar, who finished with an 83. "These last few weeks haven't been the best, but I calmed down a little bit. Taking second means a lot going into the next meet and could mean a really good score at state.
Davison tied for third place with Red River's Hilary Wahlen and West Fargo Sheyenne's Maggie Manson.
