Davis helps lead Cobbers men to victory

MOORHEAD — Senior forward Jordan Davis scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Concordia to a 67-60 victory against St. Mary's on Wednesday in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball at Memorial Auditorium.

Junior guard Thomas Schyma added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Cobbers, who improved to 6-10 overall and 5-6 in the MIAC.

Schyma and Davis combined for 23 points in the first half on 9-for-15 shooting from the field to help the Cobbers build a 34-20 halftime lead. Schyma as 3-for-3 from 3-point range to pour in 13 points by halftime.

Senior guard Collin Larson added 10 points for Concordia, including two 3-pointers. The Cobbers shot 80 percent (16 of 20) from the foul line. Eli Cave paced St. Mary's (6-11, 2-10) with a game-high 23 points.
