Denver's women's soccer team creates more woe for NDSU

The Bison's losing streak reached four games after the Pioneers blanked them Sunday thanks to a Kaitlyn Glover hat trick.

FARGO — North Dakota State skid of rough luck continued as Denver scored three times in the first 20 minutes and defeated the Bison 4-0 on Sunday in a Summit League game at Dacotah Field.

The Bison had won two of three games after a win over North Dakota on Oct. 10, but since then NDSU has lost four straight and been outscored 16-0.

On Sunday, Denver's Kaitlyn Glover scored at 13:11, Sydney Sharp scored her 13th goal of the season at 14:41 and Glover scored again at 19:30. Glover completed the hat trick with her 10th goal of the season at 88:25.

Denver outshot the Bison 19-5 and had a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Bison are 2-5 in the Summit League and 2-11-1 overall while Denver stayed undefeated in the league at 7-0 and the Pioneers are 12-5 overall.

The Bison finish the season on the road, playing at Western Illinois at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, before closing out the year at St. Thomas at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31.
