Go West, Dickinson State. The Frontier is calling.

A Frontier official reported to The Dickinson Press that DSU and Southern Oregon University have accepted invitations to join the Frontier Conference in the 2012-13 school year.

Both schools received unanimous approval Tuesday from the Frontier presidents at the conclusion of a two-day meeting held at Rocky Mountain College in Billings.

DSU will join the Frontier as a full member of the conference. Southern Oregon will be an associate member in football only.

The official said Jamestown College and Menlo College (Calif.) made formal presentations to the Frontier's council of presidents. The schools weren't rejected, but asked to be considered at a future time.
