BISMARCK — The game got away from Minnesota State Moorhead in the second quarter and the Dragons couldn't shoot their way back in an 82-49 loss to the University of Mary on Thursday at the McDowell Activity Center.
The Dragons trailed but just four after the first quarter but UMary outscored them 27-9 in the second. MSU Moorhead shot just 29 percent overall and hit only 3 of 33 3-point attempts.
The Dragons' Natalie Steichen and Peyton Boom both scored 13 points and Boom had seven rebounds and Steichen had six boards.
The Dragons fell to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. They play host to Minot State at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Nemzek Fieldhouse.
