BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - David Ernst was 3-for-4 with two runs and four RBIs to lead the Fargo Metro Expos to a 11-0 win over the McHenry County (Ill.) Hurricanes in the first round of the USSSA U-18 World Series on Thursday.
Ernst finished with seven strikeouts for the victory.
Drew Whitacre was 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored and an RBI for the Expos, who play Western Illinois at 3 p.m. today.
