F-M Lumberjacks to hold first practice on Thursday

FARGO - The Fargo-Moorhead Lumberjacks - an upstart semi-pro football team - are holding their first practice and open tryout at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the practice fields of Fargo Shanley High School.

Players, coaches and individuals looking to be a part of the organization are welcome to attend.

Lumberjacks head coach and owner J.J. Kern said he is looking for 10 to 15 more players to fill out his roster.

The F-M Lumberjacks will compete in the United National Football League. The team's first game is set for Aug. 3 against the Northshore Grizzlies in Duluth, Minn.
