FARGO - The Fargo Little League All-Star baseball team has advanced to the state championship tournament that begins Wednesday in Rapid City, S.D.
Fargo earned a berth by winning the Eastern North Dakota/South Dakota District 1 state tournament in Valley Springs, S.D. Fargo defeated Brookings 13-0, Dell Rapids 7-2 and Brandon Valley 12-4.
The winner of this week's state tournament will advance to the regional tournament in Indianapolis. The region champion advances to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.
Fargo team members are: Clay Bachmeier, Mason Brekke, Ben Bruschwein, Chance Bye, Cody Callies, Kain Carlson, Jordan Coyle Draeger, Davis Lawley, Taylor Parrett, Alex Schneider, Karson Speiss, Zach Staller and Miles Wosick. Coaches are: Dan Staller, Keenan Spiess and Justin Oien.
