Two individuals and two teams will be inducted into the Fargo-Moorhead Softball Hall of Fame at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the North Softball Complex in Fargo.
The induction of the 2022 class is in conjunction with the North Dakota Rec 4 East State Men's Slowpitch Softball Tournament.
The inductees are Roger Gress, Kevin Olson, and the DMS men's teams from 1998 and 1999.
Gress was a leader with the Fargo Park District for 36 years, working with youth and adult softball associations and bringing national tournaments to Fargo. He also was instrumental in building the North Softball Complex and improvements at Mickelson Field.
Olson played fast pitch softball for 30 years in Callaway, Minn., Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Fargo. He was a strong pitcher and power hitter whose teams won a 1990 state championship and played in six national tournaments.

The DMS 1998 team won the North Dakota state championship, a Northern Region championship and the ASA Class A national championship, finishing 64-12.
The DMS 1999 team placed ninth in the ISC World Tournament with a 3-2 record and finished 54-7 overall.
DMS team members include Paul Lybeck, Bob Fleming, Dan Brekke, Tim Tweiten, Pat Johnson, James Speral, Steve Baumgartner, Lamar Noriega, John Tschida, Guy Carlson, Scott Deutsch, Mike Geist, Doug Holloway, Kelly Grindahl and Joe Peyerl.
