No Eric Erdmann. No problem.
Four Fargo North starters scored 15 points or better Friday at the North gym.
That balance carried the Spartans to an 81-73 overtime victory against Mandan in North Dakota Class A boys basketball.
The game was the season opener for defending state champion North.
"We don't have a Mr. Gatorade, a Mr. Basketball or an Eric Erdmann out there this year," said North senior Justin Lake, who scored 16 points including a key 3-pointer in overtime. "We need to find people to play together. We need a group effort."
