FARGO-The Cinderella run continued for the Fargo Oak Grove boys basketball team on Tuesday at Scheels Arena.

Oak Grove-seeded No. 10 in the Region 1 tournament-defeated No. 3-seeded Enderlin 68-50 in the semifinals to advance to its seventh straight championship game.

"I think we are starting to believe in ourselves," Oak Grove head coach Kyle Card said. We are getting off to some good starts in these games. Everyone is contributing and stepping up to the challenge."

Tuesday's challenge was Enderlin-a team that spent time in the Class B polls this season.

The Grovers got off to an 8-0 start to open the game, but the Eagles cut the lead to 13-12 entering the second quarter.

Down the stretch it was the perimeter shooting of junior guard Bryce Bakkegard that allowed the Grovers (11-12) to separate from the Eagles.

Bakkegard, who finished with a team-high 17 points, hit two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter including one that gave the Grovers a 60-47 lead with three minutes, two seconds remaining.

"We adjusted to their defense and kept things simple," Bakkegard said. "We never gave up, and we knew a lot of people would underestimating us entering this tournament as the No. 10 seed, but we also knew if we worked hard we could keep things rolling."

Oak Grove outscored Enderlin 20-10 in the fourth quarter.

"Defensively I thought we played well, but we didn't help ourselves on the offensive end," Enderlin head coach Calvin Kraft said. "We couldn't make a basket at the end, and you can't beat a team like Oak Grove only scoring 50 points."

Senior guard Graham Hurlburt finished with 22 points for the Eagles (15-7).

The Grovers play Northern Cass in the Region 1 title game at approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Oak Grove has won the previous two Region 1 championships.
