Fargo team wins regional, advances to Cal Ripken World Series

FARGO — The Fargo Blue 61s defeated Bismarck 12-6 Sunday to claim the Midwest Plains Regional 10U baseball title and will advance to the Cal Ripken World Series Aug. 4-12 in Vincennes, Ind.

Fargo, 41-7, beat Wait Park (Minn.), 12-3, Southeast Denver 14-3 and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 3-2 in other regional games. Team members are Asher Amundson, Grady Bruns, Asher Mosbrucker, Kolton Hanson, Emmet Kainz, Brody Holmes, Connor Frize, Ryker Hass, Prince Buechler, Hudson Yaeger, Grant Sjule, Declan Gigstad and AJ Frederick. The team is coached by Bryan Hanson, Derek Kainze, Chase Frize and Grant Gigstad.
