It's the semifinal round of the North Dakota playoffs while Minnesota High School teams prepare to wrap up its regular seasons. Here are the best games in WDAY Sports' First Down Friday video recap for Week 11.

Sheyenne returns to 3A title game with win over Bismarck

WEST FARGO- For the second straight year, the Sheyenne Mustangs are headed back to the Dakota Bowl after defeating Bismarck, 28-21 Friday night. Sheyenne senior Barika Kpeenu scored three touchdowns including the game winner as the Mustangs moved to 8-0. Kellen Entz would seal the deal on a game winning interception.

"Yeah I think it was very fitting for how much we were out there. We got the chance to make the play and we made it, so that's all that matters for sure...Number two he had a seam route, underthrown I just went up made a play. Underthrown, so I just dove for it, made the play," said Entz.

Bismarck made it interesting with two touchdowns on fourth down in the first half, but ultimately ended its season with a 7-2 record.

That sets up a rematch of last year's 3A championship game against Bismarck Century, that is set for next Friday, November 13th at 6:45.

Bismarck Century makes it 21 straight wins, returns to Dakota Bowl

BISMARCK-- The top seeded and defending state champions wasted no time against Mandan on Friday night, defeating the Braves 45-21. With the win, the Patriots return to the 3A title game for the third straight year and seventh time in 10 years.

The Patriots took a 10-7 lead into halftime, but were led by quarterback Noah Scahffner who went 10-16 for 166 yards and four total touchdowns.

This means that Century and Sheyenne will face off for the second straight year, the Patriots won 10-0 in last year's championship.

Fergus Falls blanks Park Rapids at home, 35-0

FERGUS FALLS- The Otters snap its three game losing skid on Friday night with a 35-0 win at home over Park Rapids. Andrew Johnson got the scoring started in the first quarter, finding Kaden Hartwell for the early lead.

That is the first shutout win for the Otters since 2018 as they move to 2-3 on the year. Fergus Falls closes out the regular season at Perham next Wednesday.

Park Rapids drops to 1-4 with the loss and ends the regular season at East Grand Forks next Wednesday.

Perham gets back on track with win over East Grand Forks

EAST GRAND FORKS-- Perham snaps its three game losing skid with a 42-7 win over the Green Wave on Friday night.

Those 42 points are a season high for the Yellow Jackets. A big part of that coming from quarterback Colton Hackel who ran for 215 of his 249 yards just in the first half. Hackel also finished with four rushing touchdowns.

Perham moves to 2-3 with the win and closes out the regular season next Wednesday with Fergus Falls. East Grand Forks drops to 1-3, the Green Wave hosts Park Rapids Area on Wednesday.


Barnesville storms back to beat Breckenridge 44-22 in battle of undefeateds

BRECKENRIDGE -- Slow start for the Trojans who quickly turn it on in this one.

Cowboys lead 6-0 in the first quarter after Cooper Yaggie finds Dylan Bernotas. Trojans even things in the second quarter with an Adam Tonsfeldt bootleg pass to Cameron Heng.

Daniel Erlandson gives Breckenridge a 14-6 lead in the second quarter, but Barnesville outscores the Cowboys 38-8 the rest of the way. The Trojans improve to 5-0 and will face Crookston next Wednesday. Breckenridge falls to 4-1 and will face Staples-Motley next.

Hawley comes from behind to defeat Crookston 34-32

HAWLEY -- Hawley playing host to the Crookston Pirates Friday.

Crookston rolling early after Ethan Boll runs around the edge and leaps into the end zone to take a 22-14 lead at the time.

Nuggets answer in the fourth quarter. Cole Sunde hits Sam Burkel on the screen pass. Burkel weaves his way into the end zone and Hawley completes the comeback.

Hawley improves to 3-1 and will take on Otter Tail Central next Wednesday. Crookston falls to 0-4 and will close out its regular season against Barnesville.

Pelican Rapids dominates Underwood in 32-8 win

UNDERWOOD -- Underwood hosts Pelican Rapids under the Friday night lights.

The lights were bright for Vikings quarterback McHale Korf who had two big touchdowns in the first half. The first, a 35-yarder to Logan Fahje in which Fahje sidesteps a defender on his way to the end zone, gives Pelican Rapids a 7-0 lead.

The second is a big play...over 80 yards to Jayden Rutherford who is able to escape the defense and break away for the big score. That made it 14-0 at the time. Vikings row on to a 3-1 record and will face Frazee next. Underwood falls under .500 at 2-3. They will take on Wadena-Deer-Creek next.

Rothsay takes down Sebeka at home 28-14

ROTHSAY -- The Tigers protect their home turf in an early afternoon game.

Mason Kadel had a handful of touchdown scores for Rothsay Friday evening, including scores to make it 18-6 and 26-6.

Rothsay gets win no. 2. The team will enter its next game at Verndale at 2-3. Sebeka will look for its first win against Bertha-Hewitt. The Trojans are 0-4.
