FARGO — The 2020 recruiting class for the North Dakota State football team is starting to take shape. Four of the first five commitments in the class are from the area, including Ty Satter from Fargo Davies.
Ty Satter is the son of former Bison running back Tony Satter, who is part of the Bison Athletic Hall of Fame. Ty Satter committed to NDSU on May 16. The Bison had 28 known verbal commitments for the 2020 class through Oct 31.
NDSU is coming off a seventh NCAA Division I FCS national championship in the past eight seasons. This is the first recruiting class under Bison head coach Matt Entz, who took over the program after the national title game last January with Chris Klieman taking the head coaching job at Kansas State.
The following running log will be updated as verbal commitments happen:
North Dakota State College of Science offensive lineman Nick Radunz committed to NDSU on Oct. 31. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Radunz is from Becker, Minn. He is the brother of current Bison offensive tackle Dillon Radunz.

St. Thomas Academy's Joe Deyak has committed to the Bison on Oct. 23. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Deyak plays wide receiver and quarterback for St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, Minn.

Markesan (Wis.) lineman Bryce Friday committed to NDSU on Oct. 23. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Friday plays on the offensive and defensive line for Markesan.

West Fargo Sheyenne running back Nathan Goldade committed to the Bison on Oct. 22. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Goldade missed his senior season with the Mustangs due to a knee injury. Goldade told WDAY's Dom Izzo on Hot Mic on 970-AM that he's a preferred walkon.
"There's nothing more that I wanted than to be a part of their program," Goldade told Izzo. "I finally got like a lifelong dream completed."

Fargo Shanley's Joe Kave committed to NDSU on Sept. 20. The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Kava plays on the offensive and defensive lines for the Deacons. His brother, Jake Kava, is a redshirt freshman who plays defensive end for the Bison.

Nolan Jacobs, a defensive lineman from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, committed on Aug. 5. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Jacobs also carried an offer from the University of South Dakota and a couple of Division I schools, according to Rivals.com.

Dominic Gonnella, from Valrico, Fla., committed to the Bison on July 27. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Gonnella plays running back at Bloomingdale High School. He goes to the same high school as fellow commit AJ Moss. Gonnella runs a 4.49 second in the 40-yard dash according to his Twitter account.

"Not a lot of people get the chance to play for the last seven out of eight national champions," Gordon told the Omaha World-Herald. "Coach (Matt) Entz, the head coach, was the main recruiter in the process. That shows that he really wanted me to play there. I'm a winner and what better school to go to."
Former Bison standout safety Christian Dudzik also played his high school football at Skutt.
