FARGO -- As the calendar turns to October, the high school football regular season begins to hit high gear.

The regular season in North Dakota and Minnesota is beginning to wind down, and teams are jockeying for position for potential postseason runs.

That intensity helped generate some terrific performances, including an offensive firework show between Perham and East Grand Forks.

The teams combined to gain 959 yards, 104 points, and Yellow Jacket quarterback Colton Hackel tallied seven touchdowns.
