Force again rebound to take the second game of series, routing Omaha on Saturday

Following a familiar script, Fargo shook off a loss in a game they probably should have won and dominated on the scoreboard the next night.

FARGO — For the second time in a week, the Fargo Force made amends to themselves for losing a game they probably should have won.
Coming off a tough Friday loss to Omaha, the Force overwhelmed the Lancers 7-1 on Saturday before 3,235 at Scheels Arena.
Seven different Force players — Andre Gasseau, Jakob Stender, Thomas Weis, Thomas Sinclair, Cole Knuble, J.P. Turner and Erik Bargholtz — scored goals.
Sinclair also had two assists, as did Mason Langenbrunner and Bret Link. Weis, Tyler Rollwagen and Joe Palodichuk also had assists. Goalie Matej Marinov stopped 25 shots.
Against Des Moines on March 26, the Force controlled play for two periods but had just a 1-1 tie to show for it. They then allowed three third-period goals and lost. The next night, the Force won 6-0.
On Friday, the Force outshot Omaha 55-18 but lost 1-0 on a third-period goal. Fargo outshot the Lancers 39-26 on Saturday.
The Force held a 23-12 edge in shots in the first period and scored twice. They outshot the Lancers 9-5 in the second and led 4-1 after two. Fargo was outshot 9-7 in the third and still scored three goals.
