CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Fargo Force started the season with a 3-0 shutout win over the Lincoln Stars on Thursday night in the USHL Fall Classic at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.
Casey McDonald struck first for the Force in the opening period on an assist from Mason Salquist. Lynden Breen added a goal later in the period, assisted by Kaden Bohlsen. Cedric Fielder found the back of the net in the third on assists from Jack Robilotti and Ondrej Pavel to cap the scoring.
Fargo goalie Cole Brady recorded 30 saves for the shutout.
The Force (1-0) will face Waterloo at 7 p.m. Friday to continue play at the Fall Classic.
