FARGO — Omaha rattled off the game's final three goals to secure a 4-2 United States Hockey League victory over the Fargo Force on Friday night at Scheels Arena.
Cody Monds found the back of the net just 27 seconds into the game to put the Force up 1-0. Nolan Renwick scored for Omaha midway through the first to even it at 1-1. Trevor Griebel scored at 19:23 of the first period to put Fargo up 2-1 entering the second frame.
Griebel's strike would be the Force's last of the game, as Omaha scored the next three to seal the win. Owen Fowler and Ayrton Martino each scored in the second period, and Renwick scored his second of the game early in the third frame to put a lid on the Lancers win.
Fargo (19-10-2) and Omaha (15-14-0) are scheduled to play again at 6:05 p.m. Saturday at Scheels Arena.
