FARGO — Mason Salquist, a forward for the Fargo Force junior hockey team, has committed to play collegiately at St. Cloud State.
The 20-year-old from Grand Forks finished this past shortened season with 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists). His 15 goals tied him for second place on the Force. Salquist was also named the team’s most improved player.
Salquist skated for Grand Forks Red River High School, where he helped the Roughriders win the 2016 North Dakota state championship. Salquist is expected to be back with the Force next season before enrolling at St. Cloud in the fall of 2021.
