Former Force defenseman signs with AHL team

FARGO - Former Fargo Force defenseman Oleg Yevenko has signed a one-year deal with the Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League. The Monsters are the affiliate team for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

FARGO - Former Fargo Force defenseman Oleg Yevenko has signed a one-year deal with the Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League. The Monsters are the affiliate team for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In four collegiate seasons with the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Yevenko played in 132 games and notched 10 points with 182 blocked shots. In the Hockey East conference following the 2014-15 season, he was ranked second with 81 blocked shots, which was 11th nationally.

Yevenko played for the Force for two seasons from 2009-11, playing in 101 games and scoring 17 points.
