ST. PAUL - Former University of North Dakota All-American defenseman Chay Genoway has re-signed with the Minnesota Wild, inking a two-year deal on Friday.
Financial terms of the contract were not immediately available.
Genoway was set to become a restricted free agent on Sunday.
Genoway played one game with the Wild last year, registering an assist. He was named one of the three stars of the game.
The Morden, Man., product was the leading defenseman scorer for the Houston Aeros, tallying 36 points.

Genoway had 127 points in his career at UND (2006-11).
