Four local golfers will take a swing next week at reaching the U.S. Open.
Fargo South graduates Kane Hanson and Ben Freeman, North graduate Josh Persons and Oak Grove graduate Justin Jenkins will participate Monday in sectional qualifying tournaments.
Hanson, Freeman and Persons will compete at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Ill. Jenkins will play at Jupiter Hill Club in Tequesta, Fla.
The U.S. Open is scheduled for June 12-15 at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego.
