MINNEAPOLIS - Kevin Garnett was given the NBA's Western Conference Player of the Week award Tuesday, for the 14th time in his career with Minnesota.
Garnett averaged 24.3 points, 14.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists for the Timberwolves, who won two of their three games during the week ending Sunday. He had double-doubles in all three contests, giving him 501 for his career. Garnett has scored in double digits for 281 consecutive games.
Last week, he also passed Joe Dumars for 69th place on the league's all-time scoring list. Garnett has 16,459 points in his career.
This is Garnett's 11th season with the Timberwolves.
