FARGO — Fargo Davies built a big lead by halftime and defeated Valley City 70-47 on Friday night.
Davies doubled-up Valley City in the first half, leading 36-18 at the break. Two Davies players posted double-doubles, with Taylor Fey scoring 17 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, and Ryleigh Wacha finishing with 14 points and 14 boards. Teammate Ava Wild had 15 points, six rebounds, four steals and three blocks.
Valley City’s Jadyn Dieterle had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Brooke Eggermont scored 14 points.
Davies improved to 12-1 overall and 11-1 in the EDC and Valley City fell to 5-8 overall and 3-8 in the EDC.
