West Fargo's Tia Lopez scored the game-winning goal in the 60th minute as the Packers defeated Fargo Shanley 2-1 in Eastern Dakota Conference girls soccer in sweltering humidity on Monday.
Taylor Hager made a penalty kick for the Deacons in the 50th minute, while the Packers' Kelsey Kloof followed it up with one of her own a minute later.
Shanley's Sammi Post made nine saves, while West Fargo's Missy Halda made five.
West Fargo travels to Devils Lake for a 6 p.m. game Friday.
