Girls volleyball: Packers shut out Devils Lake

A balanced West Fargo effort proved too much for Devils Lake, N.D., in Eastern Dakota Conference volleyball on Monday night, with the Packers winning in straight sets 26-24, 25-21, 25-22.

A balanced West Fargo effort proved too much for Devils Lake, N.D., in Eastern Dakota Conference volleyball on Monday night, with the Packers winning in straight sets 26-24, 25-21, 25-22.

Carissa Becher and Katelyn Holland each tallied 13 digs, while Jill Gustafson and Ali Barta each added 12 assists for the Packers (16-11 overall, 6-3 EDC).

Kasi Eisenzimmer led Devils Lake with 26 assists, while Maren Rygh had 12 kills.

DEVILS LAKE (kills-blocks-aces): Taylor Wade 2-1-1, Kasi Eisenzimmer 1-0-1 (26 assists), Steph Mertens 4-3-1, Ashley Sebelius 5-1-0, Maren Rygh 12-3-0, Kenzie Wade 7-0-0 (12 digs).

WEST FARGO: Jill Gustafson 4-1-1 (12 assists), Ali Barta 5-3-1 (12 assists), Carissa Becher 6-0-1 (13 digs), Katelyn Holland 5-0-2 (13 digs), Courtney Voeller 4-0-3, Katie Anderson 0-0-2, Dani Nelson 4-3-0.
