SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Fargo's Tom Hoge is off to his best start on the golf course in 2019.
The former Fargo South Bruin and TCU Horned Frog shot an opening round 67 and sits tied for eleventh after the first round of the PGA Tour's Waste Management Open.
This tournament is generally regarded as the wildest and rowdiest event on the tour, thanks to the par-3 16th hole, which has a stadium-like environment.
Hoge struggled on the signature hole, recording a bogey, but followed that up with a birdie at 17.
Hoge had six birdies to two bogeys in his opening round. He tees off at 8:20 am in the second round.
