Canby High's Evan Hacker, a Minnesota Class A state champion wrestler at heavyweight, signed a letter of intent with North Dakota State on Tuesday.

Hacker went 40-3 last season and was a member of the Minnesota Junior wrestling team.

"Evan is an extremely strong wrestler who bench presses over 400 pounds and squats over 600 pounds," said NDSU head coach Bucky Maughan.

Hacker was also an all-conference offensive lineman for the Canby football team this fall.
