Hanson takes share of lead at Amateur

MINNEAPOLIS - Fargo South graduate Kane Hanson shot a 3-under 69 to pull into a tie for the lead at 1-under through the second of three rounds at the 102nd Minnesota Golf Association Amateur Championship on Tuesday at The Minnekahda Club.

MINNEAPOLIS - Fargo South graduate Kane Hanson shot a 3-under 69 to pull into a tie for the lead at 1-under through the second of three rounds at the 102nd Minnesota Golf Association Amateur Championship on Tuesday at The Minnekahda Club.

Hanson, who won the event in 2003, made two birdies, one bogey and an eagle. He's now tied with 1996 winner Joe Stansberry at 143, while 1990 champion Dan Croonquist is one shot back.

The event concludes today.
