ST. PAUL, Minn.-Pitcher Abby Haraldson became Concordia's career strikeout Wednesday when Concordia posted an 11-1 win over Bethany Lutheran before losing 7-2 to Bemidji State.
Haraldson, a senior from Sidney, Mont., struck out eight batters and allowed only three hits in the five-inning game against Bethany Lutheran. Haraoldson now has 377 career strikeouts, surpassing the previous record of 371 set by Erin Gunderson from 1999-2002.
Kayla Nack went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI in the first game.
In the second game, Concordia was limited to five hits. Riley Irman went 2-for-3 with one RBI for the Cobbers, whose record is now 4-8.
