Fargo North and Fargo South split a pair of games in an Eastern Dakota Conference baseball doubleheader on Thursday.
North opened with a 1-0 win over South in Game 1.
North's Jake Nystrom and South's David Ernst locked up in a pitcher's dual with Nystrom striking out 11 in a complete-game shutout and Ernst finishing with 10 punchouts.
The Spartans (12-12 overall, 11-5 EDC) scored their lone run in the fourth inning when Ethan Schnabel reached on a fielding error and Zach Argall knocked him in with an RBI double.
South (19-5, 13-3 EDC) posted a 2-1 win in Game 2.

1-for-2 with a two-run double in the third inning to lead the Bruins.
