GRAND FORKS - Fargo North dropped the opener 5-4 to Grand Forks Central, but recovered to post a 5-0 shutout in Game 2 in Eastern Dakota baseball on Thursday.
North (1-3, 1-2 EDC) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in Game 1, but Central (1-1, 1-1) scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and held for the victory.
In Game 2, Kirk Schroeder collected the win on the mound for the Spartans.
