APPLEY VALLEY - Abbey Tietz posted 12 kills and two blocks in Moorhead's 25-23, 25-14 win over Alexandria at the Apple Valley Invitational on Saturday.
Ciara Olson added nine kills and two blocks in the win.
Moorhead (6-7) opened the day with a 25-12, 15-25, 15-10 loss to Centennial.
The Spuds went 0-2 during the first two days of the tournament.
Wayzata claimed a 25-17, 26-24 win over the Spuds and Eastview topped Moorhead 23-25, 25-13, 15-13.
