FARGO - Ethan Frisch is back on familiar ice. The former Moorhead Spud standout, who left high school after his junior year to play in the United States Hockey League, is now back in the area.
Frisch was drafted by the Green Bay Gamblers in May of 2016 and made his debut with them earlier this fall. In late February, the Gamblers and Fargo Force worked out a trade to send the University of North Dakota commit back to his home area.
UND wanted to see Frisch more frequently and the former Spud was on board.
"It's fun to be a part of this program. Being back with my family and seeing my brothers, I'm comfortable here, I didn't have to adjust to a new billet family, just being comfortable is the biggest thing." Frisch said.
Frisch has played in thirteen games with the Force, scoring one goal and adding an assist. He's helped the team clinch its third straight playoff berth as the Force prepare to defend its Clark Cup championship.
Frisch adds he will be attending UND next fall and joining the team.
