RIVER FALLS, Wisc. — After a frenetic second period, Concordia came out on top in the third to take a 3-2 victory over Wisconsin-River Falls on Friday night in nonconference men's hockey.
Ryan Cusin drew first blood for River Falls early in the second period, but the Cobbers struck back later. Tyler Bossert tied the score at 1-1 with 4 minutes, 46 seconds to intermission. Aaron Ryback found the back of the net 26 seconds later to double the Cobbers advantage.
The lead proved to be short-lived, as Charlie Singerhouse tied the score for the Falcons one minute later. Concordia's Blake Berg notched the game-winning goal midway through the third period. Gabe Holum saved 17 shots for the Cobbers.
Concordia (1-2) will square off with Wisconsin-River Falls again at 7 p.m. Saturday.
