Fargo North 4, Devils Lake 0

FARGO — North scored a pair of goals in the first period to pull away from Devils Lake in North Dakota boys hockey Saturday afternoon.

Caleb Fritel scored the first goal for the Spartans five minutes into the game. Wyatt Johnson added a goal late in the first, while Elijah Fossum and Michael Hallquist finished the scoring for North. Firtel added two assists, while North outshot Devils Lake 51-9.

North improved to 3-2 overall, while Devils Lake dropped to 0-4.

GIRLS

Fargo Davies 3, Bismarck 1

FARGO — The Eagles skated to a North Dakota girls hockey victory over Bismarck at Scheels Arena.

Davies scored three unanswered goals after being down 1-0 midway through the second period. Olivia Opheim, Kayle Zimmerman and Morgan Sauvageau each scored a goal for the Eagles (4-0).

Davies goalie Kennedy Cook tallied 25 saves. Cameron Schmidt netted the lone goal for the Blizzard (1-1).

Fargo North-South 7, Dickinson 0

FARGO — Josie Hell and Jerica Friese each buried two goals to spark North-South to a shutout win over Dickinson.

Evelyn Olson, Emma Gonshorowski and Chloe Bry each added a goal. The Spartans had a 50-4 advantage in shots on goal. Olivia Gowin tallied the shutout for North-South, which improved to 4-0 this season.

Dickinson fell to 1-3 overall.

Mandan 4, West Fargo United 3 (OT)

WEST FARGO — Madison Hertz had four points to lead Mandan in the Braves’ overtime victory over West Fargo United.

Hertz tallied two goals and two assists. Ana Ross buried the game-winner in the extra period.

Erin Nowacki, Payton Hareland and Morgan Bents each found the back of the net for United. Goalie Madelyn Buchert made 29 saves.

Mandan improved to 2-2 overall, while United fell to 3-2.

Moorhead 7, Princeton 3

MOORHEAD — The Spuds rolled past Princeton Saturday evening in Minnesota girls hockey.

Moorhead climbed to 3-4 overall, while Princeton dropped to 3-5.
