SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Sioux Falls' second-period goal held up and the Stampede defeated the Fargo Force 1-0 on Saturday at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.

Garrett Pinoniemi scored his fifth goal of the season at 9:10 of the second period on assists from Ryan Healey and Brandon Chabrier.

The Force put good pressure on Stampede goalie Isak Posch from start to finish, with 10 shots on goal in both the first and third periods periods. But Posch managed to get the shutout with 27 saves.

Force goalie Louden Hogg stopped 20 of 21 shots.
