Hoge tied for 33rd after first day of Travelers Championship

CROMWELL, Conn. — Fargo’s Tom Hoge carded a 3-under, 67 in Thursday’s first round of the PGA’s Travelers Championship, tied for 33rd place with 24 other golfers.

Hoge, a Fargo South High School graduate, is in his sixth year on the PGA Tour.

Mackenzie Hughes is the first-day leader after carding a 10-under 60. He leads by three strokes, ahead of Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland, who each carded 7-under 63s.
